"c" is for cookie

at the art store, a number of the employees participated in a secret santa. the girl i selected [irena] has an odd obsession with unicorns and a fat cat who drools too much. i knitted her kitty one of my little catnip mice which she claims he's not getting because the mouse is too cute for her cat and she intends to attach a pin to it so she can wear it as a brooch [i told her she's crazy and is going to stink of catnip]. i'm hoping her cat got the mouse.

i also baked her a stack of gingerbread unicorns. she went wild when she saw them. i also included a few gingerbread men from the army that i created. it's been years since i made gingerbread, and these little guys were a real delight to bake:







unfortunately i forgot to take pictures of the mouse and the unicorn cookies :( in hindsight i'm rather disappointed with myself for that because they did look pretty cool. i did however, remember to take a quick shot of her completed gift before i dropped it off:
