time flies.

this week seems to be flying by. already i find myself at wednesday night and i've so much to accomplish still for the week! this weekend past, david and i did manage to go to st. jacobs. we picked up my pottery bowls [which i lOve!], and i ordered a lazy susan for my collection. i also inquired about some 7.5" salad/dessert plates in the blue accent colour. i haven't decided on whether or not i'll order them as they cost $21 a piece. so far i have 10 place settings, and that's going to cost quite a bit, so i want to be sure i'll have the money for them if i order them.

we didn't go on our hike on saturday. today's the first day that it hasn't rained or looked ominous for i-don't-know-how-many-days, and saturday was one of the wettest. we stopped at an old mennonite graveyard on our way back from st. jacobs. the stones were very weathered and beautiful to look at. they were all in german and dated back to the mid-1800s. i'll post some pictures later because the cable for my camera is refusing to work right now for some reason. :S

tonight i started on my october project for month of softies. i'm very proud of myself, actually. i created the knitting pattern myself and was able to correct a few mistakes i made all on my own. it's going to be a very simple project, but i'm extremely proud, nonetheless.

in other news: i solved the mystery of the cat pee bandit. it turns out spark has a urinary tract infection and is the one responsible for the random cat pee sightings around the house. i'm glad it turned out to be her. she was the first of the four cats to be brought in for an exam, and it cost me a cool $144. erg. i'm happy i didn't have to take the others in - that would have been expensive.

anyway, she's on antibiotics; i have 1/2 of my softie finished, and i'm nowhere near done ticking off the things on my "to do" list for this week. but at least i'm getting there.
